People all over the Planet are at the epicentre of three epochal processes - the pandemic crisis, the climate crisis and the technological revolution. These will have a considerable social, economic and environmental impact for many years to come. G20 Governments’ interventions are fundamental to address inequalities and set sustainable development policies.

The Women 20 (W20) is the official G20 engagement group focused on gender equality, composed by about one hundred delegates from its twenty countries. Established in 2015, its purpose is to ensure that gender considerations are mainstreamed into G20 discussions and translated into the G20 Leaders' Declaration.

The 2021 Women 20 Summit will take place from 13 to 15 July 2021, ahead of the G20 Leaders’ Summit, which is to be hosted by Italy in Rome next October. During the final Summit, the W20 delegates will finalise concrete policy recommendations to advance gender equality in G20 negotiations in a Communiqué which will be presented to Mario Draghi.

The Summit will provide a platform for exchange amongst high-level public and private sector representatives, experts, entrepreneurs, researchers and other relevant stakeholders on challenges and solutions to create an enabling environment that supports women’s empowerment.

On 13 July 2021, at 2:45 - 4.00 PM CET, Erika Andreetta, Partner PwC Italy, Consumer Markets Consulting leader, will participate in a panel discussion on "Re-examining the Importance of Quality Jobs for Women"

Manuela Moreno, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Foreign News Desk at Tg2, will chair the debate.
